JENNY RICHARDS & KELLY MCCONKIE STEWART
Jenny Richards and Kelly McConkie Stewart are musicians, members of the LDS church, and committed allies to the LBGTQ community. They met in 7th grade and were fast friends, but then lost touch for 25 years. During that time, they each pursued music degrees (Jenny in piano from The Juilliard School and Kelly in cello from SUNY Purchase), established careers as performers and teachers, married and each had four children, and then rediscovered each other upon moving back to Utah ten years ago. Since then, their musical pursuits have included performances and collaborations to raise awareness and promote inclusion and education in the LDS/LGBTQ space. Currently, Jenny and Kelly are both serving as Relief Society presidents in their respective SLC wards, and together are pursuing masters degrees in Franciscan theology from the University of San Diego, in their journey to becoming chaplains.
